Jolyon Palmer will be separated from Renault Formula 1 after Japan GP, while Carlos Sainz will be at the wheel of American Renault.
Jolyon Palmer is the son of Renault in the Suzuka race on Sunday with today's announcement.
Palmer, who posted a farewell message on Instagram, "Tomorrow's Japan GP will be the last race with Renault."
Renault confirmed that Palmer was leaving for the next step this week, but he will be replaced with Carlos Sainz
With Sainz's transition, Daniil Kvyat in Torino Rosso will be back on the US GP and Pierre Gasly will be in F1 instead of the Super Formula race.
Palmer's 2018 season was not expected to close after the Sainz deal.
The result on the Singapore GP is Palmer's sophisticated, but slightly brilliant. He chose his way with a final decision.
