Mercedes tests "rear wing light" in Barcelona

Mercedes made its first test today on the rear wing backlight, which could be used in Formula 1 in the future.

On the first day of the Formula 1 test in Barcelona, we do not just test tires or make progress tests, but also perform future tests.

Mercedes placed red LED lamps on both sides of the rear wing of Lewis Hamilton's W09, and a series of tests were conducted.

Thanks to these LEDs, which the German team has tried, it is aimed to see the vehicle ahead clearly in rainy weather.

This type of system is used by FIA WEC at night races.
