Former GP3 and European Formula 3 pilot Jake Dennis will be driving the Red Bull Formula 1 team on the test this week in Barcelona.
Dennis, who makes the transition from single-seat series to GT races for the past year, will go to Red Bull's steering on the second day of testing, and Max Verstappen will drive the first day.
Dennis, in addition to his duties in the Blancpain GT races, is also piloting Red Bull's development and working in a team simulator.
Red Bull hopes this opportunity will provide a "useful correlation" between simulation work on RB14 / on-track development.
The team added that if the weather affects work, both drivers can make changes to the program.
Dennis, who won the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award in 2012, has tested McLaren F1 in 2013. Dennis will be the first to drive the F1 car after a long ride.
Dennis, who won the InterSteps Championship in 2011, reached the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC championship in 2012.
In addition, the young talent, who finished third in the European Formula 3 Championship in 2015, was fourth with two wins in the GP3 in 2016.
Dennis began fighting with the WRT Audi last year at the GT races, and this year he moved on to Aston Martin R-Motorsport.
Aston Martin expanded its partnership with Red Bull this year and became the team's name sponsor.
