Hamilton: Mercedes is now the second or third fastest team
Lewis Hamilton said that after the Chinese Grand Prix, Mercedes is no longer the leading team, and that the grid has fallen to the second or third place.
In general, Mercedes seemed to be the second fastest car in the qualifying round, while Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes were very close to each other.
According to Hamilton, Mercedes no longer has the fastest route.
"It was not the fastest of the week, we seem to have lost our performance since Melbourne, and maybe this week was more of a loss."
"Now we look like the second or even the third fastest team, we have some updates, we'll see where we're going."
Mercedes could not win three consecutive wins for the first time in the turbocharged era and it was the longest series of this team in the last four years.
Hamilton says he's going to keep putting pressure on me to improve.
"In the past few years we have managed to stay together and continue to work, I think it was great, and everyone in the factory and the factory will continue to work as hard as possible.
"I'm trying to force James Vowles, James Allison, Niki Lauda and Toto Wolff, I encourage them, they know where the car is having problems, so they can put pressure on the necessary departments, which can provide the development."
"Of course, the pressure I make must be constructive, not destructive, they are already under pressure, we all want to win, and they want to do it."
Hamilton is expecting a tough championship fight with Sebastian Vettel.
"Who knows what will happen during the season? If there is a chance, we have to use it, it will be a tougher season than usual, we have to use the opportunities and get good results."
Hamilton does not know what will happen in Baku.
"It's hard to make any predictions, but it will be a close battle.
"Yesterday and today we have serious problems, we have to solve them or we will lose points.
