Vettel: Ferrari needs to find more performance

Sebastian Vettel said Ferrari had to find more performance than the SF71H on the third day of the Formula 1 tests, despite the fact that the Barcelona track had broken the lap record.

Ferrari's main competitors said it was too soon to come to a conclusion about how Mercedes and Red Bull will be at the first race in Australia.

Vettel said that he had 188 laps during the day with no problems, and he praised the new car for its durability, which underlines that it will have a major role this year.

Four times the world champion said, "We need to improve the performance and the feel of the car, we have a strong sense of durability, no major problems or big problems that we are concerned about, so I hats off all the guys in the factory." said.

Vettel did a full race simulation after lunch, but said it was hard to compare the performance of the car to its main competitors.

"We are extremely happy, we did a good simulation, we had no problem with our car, there was no red flag, we could finish our program, the pit stops were just as smooth."

"I do not know anything about the paddle yet, I always think you might be better in some places, but I do not think it's a problem.

"We finished the race simulation and even afterwards we made lots of rounds, it was really important to understand the car, there are some things we need to improve, but it was important to do a lot of rounds."

"I could not do more, as I said it, I am satisfied with the car and the tours I throw, everything is improved."

"We started to understand the setup better, of course, there are things we can understand, but it's normal to have it."

"We have a different track, we have a different asphalt, it's a bit hard to compare, but I feel like we're moving in. I think that's what makes sense."

"I think everything will depend on where the others are and we will see it in the next few weeks." said.
